Set up a waitlist
Let customers join a waitlist when a performance sells out, choose what info to collect, and control how freed-up tickets are offered back — manually or automatically.
The waitlist lives in the event wizard under Customize → Waitlist. When a performance sells out on your online store, buyers see a join button instead of a dead end — their details are recorded in order, so freed tickets can be offered back fairly. An event has one waitlist, which you can enable per performance. You need at least one performance first.
Create the waitlist
-
Open your event, go to Customize → Waitlist, and select New waitlist.
-
Under Waitlist settings, choose what to collect. The form always asks for first name, last name, and email; toggle Collect customer's cell phone number and Collect ticket quantity to ask for more.
-
Set the Time to respond in Day(s) / Hr(s) / Min(s) — how long a waitlisted customer has to claim their offered tickets.
-
Optionally turn on Automatic ticket allocation, then set Tickets to trigger email (the minimum freed-ticket count that triggers an offer to waitlist guests) and the Offering interval (minutes) (the pause between notifying and offering tickets to the next guest).
-
In the performance table at the bottom, toggle Online store per performance (or use Select all / Select none), then save.
Customize what buyers see
Under Customize settings you can override the storefront texts:
- Waitlist button — the button text; by default "Join the Waitlist" is displayed.
- Waitlist form title — the form's heading, same default.
- Confirmation message — the rich-text message your audience sees after successfully submitting their details.
Ticket resale
Toggle Ticket resale to let ticket holders resell their tickets to waitlisted purchasers. Set Resale ends before event as a days/hours/minutes cut-off. Disabling resale instantly revalidates tickets pending resale.
What buyers experience
On a sold-out performance (with that performance's Online store toggle on), the ticket picker shows your waitlist button. Buyers fill in Full name, Email, and — if enabled — Phone and Tickets needed, then see "You're on the list" with your confirmation message. Each email address can join once per performance; submitting again simply confirms they're on the list.
