Sell tickets at the door
Sell to walk-ups from any phone or laptop. Pick the event, add tickets, take cash or give them away, then let the person straight in with Admit now. This is for stores whose sidebar shows Sell at the door.
To sell to someone standing at your door, open Sell at the door in your dashboard sidebar. The owner can use it, and so can the door staff you add under Team in Settings. Door staff see Home, the scanner and this screen, nothing else. If your sidebar shows Box Office instead, see Sell tickets at the box office.
Build a sale
The counter lists your published events from the last six hours through the next seven days that have not ended yet, one day at a time. When only one event is on, it opens by itself.
- Pick the day from the date strip, then the event. Use Search events if you have several.
- Set how many of each ticket type with the plus and minus steppers, then select Add to sale.
- Check the Current sale rail and its Total. Remove a ticket with its cross, or start over with New sale.
The door sells until the event ends, so you can keep selling after it starts, when online sales have stopped. It also sells ticket types whose online sales have closed, such as an early bird. It never sells more than your capacity: the door and your event page share the same tickets.
Take payment
Select Charge to open Take payment, then choose under Payment method:
- Cash: type the Cash received, or tap Exact or a round-up amount, and the Change due appears. Money that does not cover the total is refused.
- Complimentary: the guest list. The tickets are given away and the order is recorded at nothing.
Tickets that cost nothing need no payment method at all: the button reads Complete sale.
Under Buyer details, the name and email are optional. A sale with no name is recorded as "Walk-up". With an email, the tickets are emailed as they would be for an online order.
Let them in
After payment you see Sale complete with the receipt. Select Admit now to check every ticket in the sale in at once. It works exactly like scanning, so those tickets then read as already used at the scanner. You can also Print receipt, Print tickets or Print badge (one card per ticket with the person's name and QR code), or Email tickets when they gave an email.
Let them pay on their own phone
Under the event's name, Buyer pays on their phone shows a QR code. The buyer scans it and buys on your event's checkout as they would online, and the order is still counted as a door sale. It only appears while the event can be bought online: before it starts, and for paid tickets only once your payouts are set up.
Find door sales later
Door sales appear on Orders with an At the door badge, and each order shows how it was paid. Reports adds a Cash at the door column for each event, which is the cash your door should hand over.
